The holiday season is here. How exciting to be able to spend our time focused on the one we love and remember the reason for this Season!

I'm reminded of times when the Season was most beautiful and it always has something to do with the music of this Season. Music that will steal your breath away, music that can awe and inspire you to be a better version of yourself. I most remember growing up with carols and, as I got older, pop and country songs that had toes tapping and eyes tearing with sentimentality of the Season.

Carols like Silent Night and Away In A Manger that made you really think and believe in the true purpose of Christmas, to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Later songs such as I'll Be Home For Christmas, Please Come Home For Christmas and (Christmas) Baby Please Come Home, all had you believe if you cried & prayed hard, and simply prepared your home festive enough, the "one that got away" would come back and all would be right in the world.

I recall singing most of these songs with such longing, that every one that "got away" would be there, begging to come back, and, at this time of year, you would only remember them with fondness and good feelings that would tell you "it make sense to take them, or have them, back" in your life. Then when the dust settles and your eyes and ears have awakened from the spell the holiday music has put you under you remember why you were apart in the first place. Teeheehee. Oh my! The magic spell of this Season.

I remember singing along to I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus and wondering 'what would my dad have thought if that was my mom'?

So many Christmas carols and songs out there, and so many versions or 'covers' of these arrangements. that you can listen all day, every day, and always hear a "new" version of a song.

Tell me, what are some of your favourite songs and memories from the Christmas and Holiday songs of this Season?

My absolute favourite is I'll Be Home For Christmas, followed closely by Let It Snow, especially when the weather outside is frightful!

So I wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas, and a healthy, happy, prosperous New Year! All the best in 2024!

Until next time.

Peace, Love, Harmony snd Blessings,

Pamela ❤️
